A soldier reached out to us for help. He suffers from traumatic brain injury, chronic headaches and vertigo as a result of multiple IED hits over the course of three deployments. He also has an unusual vision complication. Although he has no problems with his vision for objects in front of him, problems arise when he gazes to the extreme right or left and when he has to glance back and forth quickly. Because of these vision problems, he was limited to driving with supervision-a frustrating restriction for a self-reliant warrior.
His Wish was for a back-up camera to be install on his vehicle; the addition would supplement his vision and meet the restrictions set by the department of motor vehicles. Now, with the camera set in place, he can drive safely and has regained his independence.
